Final Report – The Solar and Energy Education Demonstration (SEED)
Project Submitted by: Scott Ely, Sunsense Inc. March 2009

Project Summary
Solar electricity and renewable energy are front and center in this age of green technologies and the “New Energy Economy”. The Solar and Energy Education Demonstration (SEED) Project has been a large contributor to this effort. What began as a plan to initiate solar and energy education into numerous schools in Northwestern Colorado has blossomed into a project with a much further reach. The SEED Project is now responsible for solar electric system installations at four (4) schools, a community college and a botanic gardens site. In addition, the schools have received hands-on tools and curriculum to integrate with existing programs. Monitoring systems for these installations provides real-time data for tracking performance and educating online participants. The road has been rough, but the rewards are many!
