VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Water Committee Member

MISSION: Preservation and enhancement of water supply and water quality in the south metro area with the ultimate goal of a sustainable water system for residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and ecosystem uses.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Participate with an activist leader in developing a water sustainability campaign by using the Sierra Club planning matrix. Help carry out the campaign by participating in those planned activities which fit with your interests and background. Revisit and revise the campaign plan as needed.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Attend regular meetings of the water committee. Help conduct research to learn about water problems. Work on setting a campaign theme and goal and advocating it to the Club. Help design the campaign and raise funds to carry it out.

QUALIFICATIONS: Interest and concern about the mission and willingness to give a little or a lot of time and energy.
