CRITERIA FOR GRANTING SECTION STATUS In determining whether section status should be granted to or continued for a subset of Chapter members seeking such status, the Executive Committee should consider whether the members of the proposed section: 1. Demonstrate commitment to the Chapter's goals and to becoming fully integrated into the Chapter. 2. Are able and willing as a group to further the goals of the Chapter by participating fully in the activities of the Chapter by contributing ideas, recruiting volunteers, engaging in conservation work, fund raising for the Chapter, and increasing the Chapter's visibility and membership. 3. Are committed to building and maintaining a cohesive and effective network of people pursuing the goals of the Chapter. 4. Demonstrate active functioning: at least 25 members, annual elections, quarterly meetings of officers and members, newsletter published at least quarterly.
