All State-level ballot initiatives shall be reviewed by the Chapter Political Committee in consultation with the appropriate issues committee(s) before being considered by the Chapter Executive Committee. Initiatives that have less than State-wide coverage, such as a county-wide initiative, that may fall within the jurisdiction of two or more Groups, do not require approval of the Chapter Political Committee or of the Executive Committee before a Group or Groups may get involved [Editor's addition: provided that all Groups with jurisdiction concur on the initiative]. If there is a dispute over the position on such an initiative among two or more Groups, a representative from one of the affected Groups may bring the dispute before the Chapter Political Committee. Any Group involved in any political activity involving money shall communicate with the Chapter Political Committee Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws and Club rules. Sections may not make endorsements of ballot initiatives. If a Section has an interest in a particular initiative, it should contact the appropriate Chapter entity (Group, Chapter Political Committee, or Chapter Executive Committee) to request consideration by that entity of endorsement of the initiative.
