Rocky Mountain Chapter - Colorado

Welcome

Although we do not provide outbound email through our server, you should be able to handle that through your own ISP.

[Important Note - some ISPs are starting to experiment with something called SPF to cut down on forgeries related to spam.  Once this is widely implemented, sending outbound sierraclub.org email via your ISP will in general not work. Watch here for specifics]

Directions here are for Eudora.  Hopefully, someone running kmail, pegasus, outlook, or any of the other mail clients, can provide similar instructions for their own applications.

1) Create a new Eudora Persona.

2) Copy all server information, inbound and outbound, from your primary persona

3) Deselect "check email when sending"

4) For your persona email address, use your sierraclub.org email address, either your role address or your named one. For instance, I can use either abuse@rmc.sierraclub.org or charlie.oriez@rmc.sierraclub.org as my persona.

5) Send mail.  Note that you may have to right click on the persona name and select "send mail" to get it sent.

6) Inbound responses will come through the grassroots.sierraclub.org server and be routed to your mailbox.
